I read a lot of books. I didn't really read much in high school as I was very busy and had yet to realize what a treasure books could be. Once I started reading as a means of discovery I never turned back. I am not a fiction reader. Reading for me is a means of discovery and now after fifty years of voracious reading I am so grateful to be living in a time of books. Most of my reading has been in the areas of Psychology, Hypnotherapy, Gardening, Philosophy, Meta Physics, Biographies, and Spirituality.
I am going to share with you books I am currently reading and perhaps do "book reviews" or summaries.
I love this book. In my opinion, after so many decades of life and being a hypnotherapist, most people, say ninety percent, present as victims. It is an easy trap to fall into for a variety of reasons. "This book teaches people to connect their non-productive present-life circumstances with the source causes, and provides tested methods to change those that can and should be changed. The reader will begin to discover hope that healthy change is possible and gather determination to seek help to make those changes. This book identifies the victim, rescuer and persecutor personalities set forth in earlier ground-breaking work (and bestsellers) by Eric Berne, Claude Steiner and Thomas A. Harris. "
I read this book in a day because it was so intriguing.
"This book is the story of my journey down the rabbit hole to discover the truth behind the Secret Space Program, ETs, UFOs and conspiracies of all kinds. To research this book, I interviewed about 1000 individuals worldwide from high level military (both retired and current), intelligence agents from the United States and other countries, law enforcement, physicists, scientists of many kinds, former employees of NSA, NASA, CIA, NRO, and aerospace corporations, abductees, contactees, self-proclaimed super soldiers (enhanced physically and/or mentally and psychically), and the list goes on.
Some have gone on the record and been filmed in person and via Youtube and others have stayed in deep black and are known as secret sources. This book is a distillation of the information provided in those interviews combined with my own experiences and investigations as an investigative journalist and interviewer. It is an exploration into the nature of consciousness and the future of humanity."

This book review is more about synchronicity and my good fortune. Way back in the early 1980's I was already off on my woo woo adventures, and one of those adventures was receiving "readings" (and some training) from psychics in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. I knew Eve Olsen and Junice McCoy and others who would be very helpful to me on my journey this lifetime. With my great fortune operating I also got involved with Spiritual Frontier Fellowship conferences that occurred in Northfield Minnesota at Carleton College.
At one of those events I was introduced to Echo Bodine one of the psychics presenting at the conference. Then I moved to the Olympia Washington area in 1984 and was on to other learning experiences. A few years ago the local ARE (Association for Research and Enlightenment: A non-profit group established to preserve and make available the Cayce Readings) arranged for Echo to be the main presenter for the spring ARE conference at Seabec. Listening to Echo's stories and presentations made for a wonderful weekend and we reconnected talking about some of the people we had known in common. I am very fortunate to meet up with her again.
In this wonderful book, Echo speaks to the life and afterlife of the soul. In the beginning, she addresses life in heaven, shedding her psychic gleanings on the different "levels" of the soul, starting with level one ("totally self-absorbed") through level five (those who "understand the oneness with all of creation and with God"). From here Bodine enters into discussions on the soul's being sent to earth for birth, or "going back to school." Life is considered "the school on earth."
I just finished this one a day before The Angry Marriage. Bringers of the Dawn is "Compiled from more than four hundred hours of channeling by Barbara Marciniak, Bringers of the Dawn imparts to us the wisdom of the Pleadians, a group of enlightened beings who have come to Earth to help us discover how to reach a new stage of evolution. Master storytellers and humorists, they advise us to become media free, to work in teams, and to eliminate the words "should" and "try" from our vocabularies. We learn how to go beyond fear, how the original human was a magnificent being with twelve strands of DNA and twelve chakra centers, and who our "gods" are.
In the first chapter is the answer to all questions regarding self-assessment they say: "When you are able to live in this capacity and to be truly an inspiration to all who encounter you, you will be living your light."
This book was recommended to me by a person whom I have been friends with for 35 years and he is one of the most intelligent people I know. I would call him brilliant and when he recommends something to read I read it. I found the book very challenging to my assumptions about many aspects of just who we are as a human collective and what are destiny is. Highly recommended.
This is truly one of my top ten books of all time. It is perhaps my number one. This is a story of the life of Edgar Cayce and this book changed the trajectory of my life in my late twenties. I am so enamored by his life of service to others that he remains an inspiration to me. Most people have never heard of Cayce and for some the message in the over fourteen thousand trance readings he gave that were recorded by stenographers do challenge the narratives we may hold.
His life was about helping others. Information that came through him even challenged his own conservative religious views. I adore the readings and turn to them first in times of need. Most of the readings were for various health problems. The readings were so advanced and before their time that I often find myself laughing as I read of new scientific discoveries that have been available for over eighty years in the readings. For example, in the last few years science wowed itself to discover there are lymph glands in the brain. Long ago the Cayce readings talked of these glands.
"This book -- which contains many photos of Edgar Cayce, his family, and close friends -- is the complete, original biography of the best-documented psychic in America. It tells the story of how he discovered his astounding psychic gifts and what led him to a life dedicated to helping others. Cayce's "readings," given in a trance like state, ranged from phenomenal medical cures to advice on spiritual growth, psychology, and prophecy of world events. A philosophy section covers our origin, purpose, and destinies on the earth, making this book a valuable resource."
I love this book and always consult it whenever physical, mental, or spiritual problems arise. "Lise Bourbeau has compiled 20 years of research in the field of metaphysics and it's physical manifestations in the body and brought it all to the forefront in this user-friendly reference guide, Your body is telling you Love yourself! Since 1982, she has worked successfully with over 15,000 people, helping them to unearth the underlying causes of specific illnesses and diseases. The accuracy and devotion to the truth that characterize her technique has proven itself in the innumerable transformations that have resulted. She is certain that any physical problem is simply the outward manifestation of dis-ease on psychological and/or emotional levels. The physical body is responding to this imbalance and warning of the need to return to the path of love and harmony."
